First National Bank
431 Main St. Seneca, KS.
The First National Bank mural is one that can faintly be seen today if close to the building. In my lifetime, the building has been used as a coffee and ice cream shop called Cornerstone Coffee Haus, with the original swivel bar stools form the original Harsh Drug Store. That business isn’t currently running, but there are apartments in the basement and top floor. From a conversation with Judy Bond, who was born and raised in Seneca, I discovered that her father had a barber shop in the basement of the building in 1958, and both her parents ran a real estate business from the building as well. Along this those businesses, the family doctor, Dr. Kinsley, had offices on the main floor of the building at that time.
